About Qualia Women
We are going through a fundamental shift in the way we go about our work and careers. Women are now searching for more meaning in their professions and lives. And it goes much deeper than enhancing work skills, advancing positions, managing time or trying to find a balance between home and work.
While performance management, critical reasoning, total quality, strategic planning, financial results and profit are all critical for ongoing successful business; it is no longer enough to ensure ongoing business sustainability. We are part of a world that now demands more.
Business is about people. It cannot be solely an economic model.
There is a need to free ourselves from the automatic responses and unconscious behaviour that continually fills each of our days. We must wish to do what we set out to do in the most human way possible and be true to something higher than the multitude of competing priorities that continually drag us down to earth.
In this world of ongoing change, old ways of being and observing are no longer sufficient. The demand is for people to continually reinvent themselves as observers. Observing how we see ourselves, how we see others and how we see situations.
"We do not see things as they are, we see them as we are"
The philosopher Hans-George Gadamer wrote: "Insight is more than the knowledge of this or that. It always involves an escape from something that has deceived us and held us captive". Without knowing it, our learned way of being can significantly limit us seeing what is possible in learning and change.
